１）ハードディスクの保護、（予想外に電源が切れるとハードディスクが壊れる場合があるが、これの防止）停電時、コードを引っ掛け電源が切れた場合にバッテリーがあれば予想外の電源ＯＦＦを防げる。
２）書斎から居間への移動などの時にパソコンをＯＦＦする必要がない。
３）小生の使用状態では、ソニー VGP-BSP13/Sバッテリーを付けて使っているが、十分な寿命であると思っています。
４）VGP-BSP13/Sバッテリーを取り外して措けば寿命が延びるとの具体的な数値データーは見当たらず、抽象的な説明のみであり、外すに至らない。
５）VGP-BSP13/Sバッテリーを長期使用しないと、自然放電で使用できない状態と再充電不可の状態になる場合がある（小生は以前のノートでSONY VGP-BSP13/Sバッテリーの残量警報を無視し、使い切った時に充電不可能となった）
